Margaret M Turner, long time resident of Weatherford and business owner died December 16, 2017. She was born on a farm in Logan, Kansas to William Hofaker and Viola Lowry and was the oldest of nine children. Left to honor Margaret and remember her love are four children, daughters, Patricia Baker of Cleburne and Pamela Milan of Fort Worth; sons, Michael Adams of Weatherford and Bart Turner of Seattle, Washington; two grandchildren, Donna Morgan of Cleburne and Eric Galindo of Fort Worth; four great grandchildren, Flint Morgan, Joshua, Alisah and Alana Galindo.

Margaret nourished people around her love and wisdom with sayings like, “Use it up, make it do, or do without”. These insights always made people smile. She was always ready to help people and was always generous even to strangers in need. Margaret loved to travel and see the sights of the Texas Trails even from horseback. Travels took her from Washington DC to Alaska. These travels were part of her many adventures and memories. Margaret, founder of Westgate Insurance in 1980 served the community of Weatherford for many years before retiring in 1999. Her customers will remember her as a bright and shining light. The family would like to expand our gratitude to all the staff in West Wing of Hilltop Park Nursing Home in Weatherford for all their attentiveness and loving care for our Mother.
A celebration of life for Margaret Turner will be conducted in the spring of 2018 – A time of year she loved. In lieu of flowers please donate to Alzheimer’s Association of North Texas.
