Obituary for Edward Ernest Krause

Edward Ernest Krause, 83, of Weatherford passed away Friday, May 12, 2017 at the local hospital. Memorial service: 10 a.m, Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Weatherford. Memorial gifts can be sent to Ed’s favorite charity, Concordia University in Austin, Texas or the charity of your choice. Ed, the seventh of eleven children, was born April 4, 1934 in Pharr, Texas to Herman and Clara Blasig Krause. He graduated from the University of Texas in Austin in 1956 with a degree in electrical engineering. Ed was a registered professional engineer. He served as a relay engineer with Austin Power and Light, superintendent of the electrical department in Garland, TX, general manager of the South Texas Electrical Co-op in Victoria, TX and the manager of engineering and operations at KAMO Electric Co-op in Vinita, OK. He was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church, serving in church and community leadership. Ed was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Dwight Krause. Survivors include his devoted wife of 63 years, Evelyn Alldredge Krause; children, Lisa McHugh and husband Marc, Alan Krause and wife Diane, Brian Krause and wife Leslie and Linda Tighe and husband Art; grandchildren, Kelly McHugh Smith and husband Tyler, Kevin McHugh and wife Jordan, Caroline Krause Reynolds and husband Chris, Matthew Krause, Geoffrey Krause, Lauren Krause, David Tighe and wife Katie, Daniel Tighe, Naomie Tighe, Amy Tighe, Odanette Tighe, Kristin Tighe, Samson Tighe and Susan Tighe; great grandchildren, Zachary and Elizabeth Smith and Austin Reynolds.
