Donald Ray Floyd

Donald Ray Floyd, age 82, passed away August 11, 2016. He was born July 17, 1934, the son of Gaston and Estelle Griffith Floyd in Weatherford. Donald was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church and attended First Baptist Church of Mineral Wells where he was actively involved. He ran the Spring Creek Musical for many years. Donald retired from the US Army and was a rancher. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, wife of 50 years Belba, and grandson, Jeremy James.
Survivors include daughters, Janice James, Donice Rogers, and Lisa Walters; son, David Floyd; grandchildren, Robbey Rogers, Joshua James, Jacob James, Vanessa Bailey, Justin Floyd, Jerry Friedale, Shane Walters, Nathan Walters; 8 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services are 2 p.m., Sunday, August 14 at Spring Creek Baptist Church with burial following at Floyd Family Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel.
