Barbara "Bonnie" Ellen Powell Sammons

Barbara (Bonnie) Ellen Sammons passed from her earthly life Wednesday, December 27, 2017. She was born in San Antonio, TX on August 8, 1941 to William and Margaret Powell.

Bonnie is survived by her three daughters Vickie (Tom) Walters, Melissa (Chris) Willison, and Cathy (Nathan) Paden; her grandchildren Kelli Carter, Jordan Hughes, Carly Carter, Tyler Willison, Justin Willison, Dillon Willison, and Eli Paden; her great-grandson, Levi Hughes.

Bonnie married Dexter Sammons on September 5, 1958. They moved to Weatherford, TX in 1966 where Bonnie later became the secretary at South Main Church of Christ, and served the church and community there for almost 30 years. She also served as support to Dexter and the Authon Church of Christ for nearly 48 years.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at South Main Church of Christ in Weatherford, TX at 2:00 pm.
