Annamaria Smith

July 10, 1936 — August 4, 2017

AnnaMaria Smith (Funke), 81, died on August 4, 2017 in Weatherford, TX.
AnnaMaria was born on July 10, 1936 in Germany to her parents, Hans and Maria Funke. She married C.B. Smith in 1956. The Smith’s moved to America in 1966 while on assignment with the U.S. Air Force. In 1976, AnnaMaria decided to become a citizen of the U.S. and knew more about the U.S. government than most U.S. natives.
She dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. When asked about her qualities, the words that describe her best are original, feisty, supportive, brave, and a champion for her family. Because of these qualities, she was the glue that held her family together.
AnnaMaria is survived by her husband of 61 years, C.B. Smith; her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Rodney Sinclair; her daughter, Deborah Smith all of Mineral Wells, TX; five grandchildren, Chris and Meryame Daniel, Erin Hedges, Amber and Brandon Harwell, Bradley Hedges, and Nicki Daniel; and two great-grandchildren, Willow Harwell and Adam Daniel. She is preceded in death by her sister, Wilma Funke and her brother, Hans Werner Funke.
There will be a memorial for AnnaMaria on August, 11, 2017 at 10:00am at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel in Weatherford, TX. All are welcome to attend and celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.
